In Australia, Peabody has six surface and three underground mining operations in Queensland and New South Wales, as well as active coal trading in all major Australian coal regions. Peabody’s graduate and vacation students join a dynamic and growing organization. A major capital program is expanding Peabody's Australian operating base.

Our two-year rotational program has been designed, to ensure our graduates receive varied and challenging development across a broad range of business functions and operations. During the two-year program, graduates rotate sites approximately every six months gaining exposure to both open cut and underground operations. There are also opportunities for international postings and study tours in the United States for our Graduate of The Year. We have a structured training program providing both on-the-job and off-the-job components. Ongoing review and feedback ensures that any development needs can be addressed through specialised training or work activities.
