Eaglefield Mine
The Eaglefield Mine is an open-cut mine located 160 kilometers west of Mackay that produces high quality hard coking coal for export markets.

Peabody acquired Eaglefield in 2004. The 3,341 hectare mining lease is shared with another Peabody operation, North Goonyella. Eaglefield has a workforce of approximately 160 people, including contractors, and its operations are carried out under contract by Macmahon.
The mine produced approximately 0.9 million tons of saleable coal in 2012.
