Peabody's CIO Lina Young Named Technology Leader of the Year at Gateway Innovation Awards

ST. LOUIS, June 2, 2017 -- Peabody announced today that Lina Young has been named the Information Technology Leader of the Year by her peers for her work in advancing the company’s new global shared services platform. The award was presented at the Gateway to Innovation Awards in May.

Lina has more than 20 years of technical and management experience in the energy industry and has served in a variety of management roles as a global IT and business leader, currently as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Peabody Business Services.

“Lina is a talented leader and mentor who has driven positive change within our organization,” said Peabody President and Chief Executive Officer Glenn Kellow. “She was instrumental in the implementation of our global shared services platform that increased both efficiency and productivity for our core business services worldwide.”

Lina led a cross-functional project team to leverage technology, standardize processes and unify the global organization structure. In one year, Peabody Business Services proved to be a key strategic lever of the company operating model that provides high-volume, transactional and value-add services to the corporation and business units.

Gateway to Innovation’s Technology Leader of the Year Award recognizes an individual in the St. Louis region that has achieved notable success in leading change, increasing productivity and effectively managing and executing business and IT strategies through progressive use of information technology. Winners were selected by members of the Gateway to Innovation 2017 Honorary Advisory Committee.
