St. Louis Headquarters

Our St. Louis Corporate Headquarters

Peabody has been a major St. Louis landmark since 1955.  With some 6,700 highly-skilled employees worldwide and approximately 350 employees located at its global headquarters, Peabody is among the largest companies in the downtown area.
The company is proud to contribute to the city’s revenue base and support local businesses and organizations.  In 2016, Peabody paid nearly $70 million in payroll and benefits to its St. Louis employees, and nearly $800,000 was paid by employees and the company for St. Louis city income taxes.  Also, this past year, Peabody renewed its commitment to downtown by extending the lease agreement for its headquarters two additional years through 2023.
Peabody strives to create a stronger and more vibrant downtown community and has a long tradition of corporate citizenship and employee engagement.  Over the years, Peabody has raised millions of dollars and participated in volunteer activities in support of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, which provides health and human services to people in 16 counties in the greater metropolitan region.
In addition, Peabody has supported projects such as CityArchRiver to transform and revitalize the grounds surrounding the iconic Gateway Arch.  The company also sponsors the Consortium for Clean Coal Utilization, a global center for clean coal technology research at Washington University in St. Louis.
