Application Process

  • To view and apply for open positions at Peabody, go to the Career Center page under the Work With Us tab on PeabodyEnergy.com. You can view all jobs, view jobs by category or search by keyword or location.
  • To submit your resume / CV, go to PeabodyEnergy.com/Work-With-Us and click Search Career Openings. From the Peabody Career Portal, you have several options:
    • Create an account and upload or create a resume / CV to apply for a specific job,
    • Sign in to an existing account and upload or create a resume / CV to apply for a specific job,
    • Sign in to LinkedIn to refer the Peabody Career Portal to your LinkedIn profile in application for a specific job, or
    • Submit a resume / CV to our searchable database without applying for a specific job.
  • If you need accommodation for any part of the application process because of a medical condition or disability, please let us know the nature of your request. Visit the Contact Us page for contact details by location.
  • You cannot submit your resume / CV via email or post. To be considered for an open position at Peabody, you must apply online at Peabody's Career Center.   • Candidates will be contacted via email or phone by a Peabody representative in regards to their application, the selection process, etc. Ensure you monitor the email address you used to create your account.
  • The selection process typically involves resume review, phone or video interviews for qualified applicants, on site interviews, pre-employment medical assessment (including drug screening), psychometric assessments (if applicable for the role) background screen, reference checks and a formal job offer.
  • Application requirements vary based on the position. Please refer to the position description for specific requirements.
  • In general, if you are an international applicant then you must have the right (Visa and or Work Permit) to work in the country you apply for work.


Technical Support

  • If you have forgotten your password, click the View Profile button on Peabody's Career Center home page, then select the Forgot your password? link and follow the onscreen prompts.
  • If you receive a message saying your account is locked, you will need to wait 24 hours before attempting to sign in again. After the 24-hour waiting period has expired, you may then try the Forgot your password? link again. Three unsuccessful logon attempts will lock your account for another 24 hours. If you are having trouble accessing your account, call 314-342-3400 and ask to speak with the Applicant Tracking System Administrator. 
  • If you are having troubles accessing a job posting on our site or are experiencing technical difficulties, confirm you have internet connectivity by opening your internet browser and navigating to another website.   
    • If you do not have internet connectivity, contact your service provider.
    • If you do have internet connectivity and are trying to apply via a third party site (e.g., Indeed, Monster, etc.), try navigating to Peabody's Career Center and applying directly from there.
    • If you do have internet connectivity, are applying directly from Peabody's Career Center, and are still experiencing problems, call 314-342-3400 and ask to speak with the Applicant Tracking System Administrator.
  • If you are having trouble uploading your resume / CV, try re-saving the document in a .pdf or .doc format and uploading it again.
  • To create job alerts:
    • Scroll to the bottom of Peabody's Career Center home page, enter your email address under the Join Our Talent Network section and click the Sign Up Now button. (If you have already set up a profile, click the View Profile button at the top right of the Career Center home page.)
    • Complete the form to set up a profile.
    • Once you are on your candidate profile page, click the Options tab and select Job Alerts.
    • Click the Create New Job Alert button.
    • Create a job alert based on keyword and/or location and select the frequency of the alerts.
    • You can choose to preview the new alert before you create it.
 
  • To delete job alerts:
    • Go to your candidate profile page on Peabody's Career Center.
    • Click the Options tab and select Job Alerts.
    • Click the trash can icon next to the alert you want to delete.
